Daily Awards hosts an ongoing series of daily photo contests with daily, weekly, monthly and annual photo contest winners. The winners of these free photo contests are based on a rather sophisticated voting system. Daily Awards goes into some detail about the whole voting process. Nature, Sport, Still Life, Landscape, People, Portraits, Pets and Weddings are just some of the photo contest categories they have to choose from. The pictures entered in these photo contests are pretty good. So bring your A game.

Photo Life invites photographers worldwide to participate in its annual photo contest, Image International, by submitting their best shots in the following categories: People, Nature and Travel. Enter your best shots and you could cruise Canada’s Arctic or win some of the hottest photo equipment around! Photo Life’s free photo contests are open to amateurs and professionals. And it is only open to residents of Canada, eh. You can submit up to five photographs either online or through the mail. The photo contest deadline is September 30, 2009.

The Wedding Photojournalist Association offers quartley photo contests for its members. The WPJA brings together professional photojournalists and wedding photographers. To combine these two techniques in candid, documentary styles with a distinct artistic vision toward wedding photography is the ultimate aim of the WPJA.The WPJA is respected arouond the world and has been recognized in major publications. Each quarter the WPJA holds  contests in a variety of wedding categories. The Q1 contest is over and they are preparing for the Q2 competition.

The ISPWP sets the bar for wedding photography excellence. Membership is somewhat exclusive as the ISPWP holds its members to a high standard. References, both from clients and fellow wedding photographers, is part of the application process. The ISPWP recently announced their winners in their Spring 2009 competition. Winners were chosen in a variety of categories.
