To support Spay Day, The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International host the Spay Day Online Pet Photo Contest, presented by VISA and Zazzle—a great opportunity to celebrate our pets, raise funds for spaying and neutering, and win some great prizes. The free photo contest will use a panel of professional judges will pick a Grand Prize Winner, 10 Runners Up, and 25 Finalists based on the quality of your photos and how well your respond to a few simple questions that reveal your pet’s personality.

Daily Awards hosts an ongoing series of daily photo contests with daily, weekly, monthly and annual photo contest winners. The winners of these free photo contests are based on a rather sophisticated voting system. Daily Awards goes into some detail about the whole voting process. Learn more about their system in their FAQ section.  There are a variety of categories to choose from. Nature, Sport, Still Life, Landscape, People, Portraits, Pets and Weddings are just some of the photo contest categories they have to choose from. The pictures entered in these photo contests are pretty good. So bring your A game.

American Humane’s Pets and Pals Photo Contest occurs each summer. All entries in this free pet photo contest must be postmarked on or after June 15, 2009, but no later than July 31, 2009, and received no later than Aug. 7, 2009.  Hurry up! Two Grand Prize winners walk away with $1,000 each! Photos must be taken during the time frame above (June 15-July 31). So you can’t enter that great picture you took last summer. Pet photo contest categories are Pet, Pets and People, Down on the Farm and Shelter Life.

EquineSite is a regional horse watering hole. Based out of New England, EquineSite has been serving its constituents since 1999. Foremost a site about all things equine, EquineSite offers free monthly photo contests to amatuer photographers. Winning amateur photographers receive a unique horse-related product each month. The deadline for entries is the 5th of each month. Winners are announced the next day. Some of the better photos that don’t win could be used as promotional tools for EquineSite. These free photo contests are mainy for people in the New England area, but outsiders are encouraged to enter.
